O. Rose Broderick is the inaugural STAT disability in health care reporting fellow. Before coming to STAT, she worked as an intern at WNYC’s Radiolab and Scientific American, and her story debunking a bogus theory about transgender kids was nominated for a 2024 GLAAD Media Award. Rose graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in philosophy and later completed a master's degree in science, health and environmental reporting at New York University.
