If you are a nerd like me, you may enjoy this game from Chemical & Engineering News that asks how many chemical elements you can name. I spent way too much time on it this past weekend and perfected my technique enough (without peeking at the periodic table!) to get up to 70 elements in 60 seconds.
If you’d like a more general-knowledge / medicine-related challenge, don’t forget to check out the daily STAT mini crossword. I’m not as skilled at that — while some of my coworkers can do it in 30 seconds or fewer, yesterday’s puzzle took me 43 seconds.
