WASHINGTON — Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made his chronic disease-fighting plan, a version of which was leaked last month, official on Tuesday. The final version looks markedly similar to the draft that made rounds and garnered heavy criticism in recent weeks, but with more detail.
“Together, this strategy will translate the work of the Make America Healthy Again movement to policies that make a transformative and lasting impact for Americans and end the childhood chronic disease crisis,” the document says.
In presenting the report on Tuesday, Kennedy said, “This is an existential crisis for our country, and I’m so grateful I work for a President that is willing to run through walls to stop this and to heal kids,” adding, “There’s never been an effort like this across all the government agencies.”
